Orion Productions was started by Denver hip hop artist Orion as an alternative to overpriced and ineffiecient studios.

After nearly a decade of making music and investing in studio time without achieving the desired results, Orion Productions was founded to create a more inclusive and supportive space for artists.

Here, artists can feel comfortable expressing their true vision and be honest about what they want their music to sound like.

Our mission is to foster creativity and ensure every artist leaves with a sound that truly reflects their artistic intent.

Most of the time studios will waste time talking with the artist, instead of working and make the artist hesitant to provide input on the sound, by telling them they're wrong, they don't know what they are doing etc.

The goal of studios is to milk as much time from the artist as possible, as they charge by the hour...

The typical formula at these studios is to record the artist, do a quick mix and crank the song through a limiter until it is loud enough to be almost deafening!

The thing is, especially with music today, LOUDER DOES NOT ALWAYS EQUAL BETTER!!!

A couple examples include, Oliver Anthony's Rich men north of Richmond, or Drake's Marvin's room.

These songs broke the rules on what would be considered a "commerical quality" release and yet have garnered significant attention in the music industry.

The truth is, the artist's input is just as valuable as the engineers because there are no rules when creating music!
